The Smythe and Beryl stools are backless with a contoured seat and tuck fully under the counter. The Solid Wood, Elio, Sereno, Brio and Loar chairs have backs, and the Elio, Sereno, Brio and Loar add an upholstered seat in Ivory, Sesame, Toffee, Terracotta, Marine or Evergreen. Finishes are Pecan, Walnut, Blonde and Black, with Antique White on the Sereno. Most are sold individually, and the Smythe, Beryl and Solid Wood stools come in sets of two and four.
Measure from the floor to the underside of your counter. If it is 36 inches, which is standard for kitchen counters and most islands, you need a counter stool with a 24 to 26 inch seat. If it is 42 inches, you need a bar stool with a 30 to 31 inch seat. Allow 10 to 12 inches between the seat and the counter for legroom, and 24 inches of counter width per stool.
