Every Forgali piece arrives flat-packed with illustrated step-by-step instructions and all the hardware you need. Beds go together with the included hand tools, and most take a relaxed afternoon. These are the habits that keep it relaxed.
Solid pine is the reason the furniture lasts and the reason the boxes are heavy. Two adults make carrying the boxes in, standing the end panels up and lifting the top bunk into place far easier, and safer.
Lay the panels out on the floor where the bed will stand, with the hardware bags sorted beside them. You will need more floor space than you expect, and moving a half-built bed is harder than moving boxes.
Skim the whole instruction booklet before the first bolt goes in. Knowing where the ladder or the staircase ends up prevents the classic backwards-headboard restart.
Everything can be built with the hand tools in the box, but a power drill with the matching bit makes it noticeably faster. Finish each bolt by hand so you do not overtighten it into the wood.
From a nightstand to a staircase bunk, assembly time varies. Most beds take two to three hours at an easy pace. Do not rush the last step, which is checking that every bolt is snug.
Follow the guardrail, mattress-height and age recommendations in your instructions. They matter most on bunk and loft beds. Our safety standards page has more.
